Western Australia held invitation rounds draw on 30th April, 2020 through its three State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) streams to apply for state nomination application.
In the latest Invitations rounds, Western Australia sent 290 invitations to Expression of Interest (EOI) candidates in which they issued 199 invitations for Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) while 92 invitations for Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491).
Western Australia checks the basic requirements of nomination and selects Expression of Interest (EOI) from SkillSelect on the third Thursday of each month according to the number of applications being processed by WA Migration Services.
State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) of Western Australia divides into three streams – the General stream, the Graduate stream – higher education graduates, and the Graduate stream – vocational education and training (VET) graduates.

Selection process of Western Australia Invitation Rounds
If an applicant qualifies for one or more streams so WA offers an invitation of the General stream in the first instance. Similarly, If any applicant submits EOIs for both subclasses i.e., 190 and 491 so WA offers an invitation of subclass 491 in the first instance.

Eligible applicants will be ranked for selection if they have:
- Completed a Ph.D. or Masters qualification in Western Australia;
- Completed an Honors degree or other higher degree in Western Australia;
- Completed a Bachelor degree in Western Australia;
- Highest EOI points score; and
- Oldest EOI submission date

Graduate stream – VET Graduates
Eligible applicants will be ranked for selection if they have:
- Completed a VET qualification at Advanced Diploma level in Western Australia;
- Completed a VET qualification at Diploma level in Western Australia;
- Completed a VET qualification at Certificate IV level in Western Australia;
- Completed a VET qualification at Certificate III level in Western Australia;
- Highest EOI points score; and
- Oldest EOI submission date
Western Australia State Nomination has become an additional option for applicants who are intended to move to Australia.
During 2019-20, Western Australia has issued 2969 invitations in total, in which they issued 47 invitations to SNMP General stream (subclass 190), 75 invitations to SNMP General stream (subclass 491), 1738 invitations to SNMP Graduate Stream – higher education graduates (subclass 190), 530 invitations to SNMP Graduate Stream – higher education graduates (subclass 491), 262 invitations to SNMP Graduate stream – vocational education and training graduates (subclass 190) and 317 invitations to SNMP Graduate stream – vocational education and training graduates (subclass 491).
