Prince Edward Island – PEI PNP published the latest three Expression of Interest – EOI Draws Results to apply for provincial nomination.
These invitations were issued for two streams in PEI PNP Latest Expression of Interest Draws, which are Express Entry and Labour Impact, while PEI isn’t targeting Business Impact candidates in Expression of Interest (EOI) draws.
As a result of issuing invitations in EOI invitation draws, PEI issued 29 invitations in total in which 5 invitations on March 23, 10 invitations on April 27, 14 invitations on May 15.
PEI Express Entry Category
The PEI PNP Express Entry is aligned with Express Entry, manages applications for three of Canada’s main economic class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
The Comprehensive Ranking System ranks eligible candidates for immigration to Canada through Express Entry under the following components:
- core human capital factors;
- accompanying spouse or common-law factors;
- skill transferability factors; and
- factors relating to a provincial nomination, a qualifying offer of arranged employment, Canadian study experience, a sibling in Canada, and/or French language ability.
Express Entry candidates require to get a nomination from PEI after applying and if they secure the nomination then they receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score and are effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool.
In order to be considered for a provincial nomination from PEI, Express Entry candidates need to create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the PEI PNP.
EOI profiles are given points based on the province’s unique points grid. The highest-scoring candidates are then invited to apply through monthly draws.
The PEI PNP did not provide a breakdown of how many Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates were invited, nor the minimum EOI score required for each category.
Labour Impact Category
Candidates in the Labour Impact Category were also invited in the past three draws.
This immigration category is for foreign nationals who have a valid job offer in PEI, and have support from their employer. It is divided into three streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate.
Candidates in this category must also submit an EOI profile in order to be considered for a provincial nomination through the Labour Impact Category.
