Ontario held PNP Express Entry Draw on 13th May 2020 for tech candidates and sent 703 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination.
During the latest tech candidates-targeted draw, the invitations are being issued to candidates who had work experience in following tech occupations.
- Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
- Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
- Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
- Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
- Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
- Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)
The invited Express Entry candidates had Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 421 and 451.
Candidates who were invited in the latest OINP Tech Draw receive the provincial nomination they will be awarded an additional 600 CRS points toward a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
Tech draws are a new Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) opportunity that falls under the Human Capital Priorities Stream. The purpose is to identify people with technological skills in the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry pool.
If Ontario identifies applicants in the pool, they receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) in IRCC online account. Receiving an NOI does not necessarily mean that you qualify for one of the streams.
