IRCC held first Express Entry Draw for all programs since COVID-19 including Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) to apply for Canadian permanent residence in the July 8, 2020 invitation round.
During this first Express Entry Draw for all programs since COVID-19, Canada sent 3,900 invitations to Express Entry candidates with 478 cut-off Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
A tie-break rule was applied in Canada Express Entry Draw Rounds of invitations 8th July 2020. All candidates with a CRS score of at least 478 who submitted their profile before February, 11, at 13:08:31 UTC, received an ITA in this round.
From March 4th, Express Entry draws had been limited only for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates.
CRS score distribution of candidates in the Express Entry pool as of July 6, 2020
Express Entry Candidates follow Canadian Immigration points and are ranked in the pool based on a score awarded under the CRS that considers factors such as age, education, skilled work experience, and proficiency in English or French and then picked up in subsequent Canada Express Entry draw – rounds of invitations.
The Express Entry manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main skilled labor immigration categories – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Experience Class.
A job offer is not required in order to be eligible for an Express Entry invitation to apply (ITA), though additional CRS points are awarded if a candidate has one.
