Canada held Express Entry Draw exclusive for PNP candidates and sent invitations on 15th April, 2020.
Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) issued 118 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to provincial nomination program candidates with Comprehensive Ranking Scores (CRS) as low as 808.
A provincial nomination results in an additional 600 CRS points and effectively guarantees an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
Including 808 CRS score, candidates had awarded 600 points of provincial nomination from their provinces and 208 CRS score have had before nomination.
Previous Express Entry Draw was also for PNP candidates held on 9th April 2020 in which IRCC issued 606 invitations.
Candidates follow Canadian Immigration points and are ranked in the pool based on a score awarded under the CRS that considers factors such as age, education, skilled work experience and proficiency in English or French and then picked up in subsequent Canada Express Entry Invitations draw.
The Express Entry manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main skilled labour immigration categories – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.
Canada released new Immigration plan for 2020-22 to welcome 341,000 new permanent residents in 2020, 351,000 in 2021, and 361,000 in 2022.
A job offer is not required in order to be eligible for an Express Entry invitation to apply (ITA), though additional CRS points are awarded if a candidate has one.
Several Express Entry-aligned provincial nomination streams also have lower CRS requirements compared to all-program federal draws.
In order to be considered for a nomination through most Express Entry-aligned provincial streams, the first step is to submit an Express Entry profile.
