Skills Immigration (SI) Category

Skills Immigration has three subcategories which are Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level & Semi-Skilled. The minimum score requirements for Skilled Worker were 100, International Graduate was 103, and Entry Level & Semi-Skilled was 81.

Express Entry BC (EEBC) Category

Express Entry BC has two subcategories which are Skilled Worker and International Graduate. The minimum score requirements were 110 for both subcategories.

Express Entry manages applications for three of Canada’s main economic class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Express Entry candidates require to get a nomination from British Columbia after applying and if they secure the nomination then they receive an additional 600 points toward their CRS score and are effectively guaranteed an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent draw from the Express Entry pool.

The Comprehensive Ranking System ranks eligible candidates for immigration to Canada through Express Entry under the following components:

  • core human capital factors;
  • accompanying spouse or common-law factors;
  • skill transferability factors; and
  • factors relating to a provincial nomination, a qualifying offer of arranged employment, Canadian study experience, a sibling in Canada, and/or French language ability.
